About the Role
The Linen Processing Shift Lead will work in the linen processing department and help ensure towels, napkins, sheets, tablecloths, and other linen products are processed accurately, efficiently, and to quality standards.This person will be expected to operate industrial ironing and finishing equipment while helping keep the department organized and moving throughout the shift. We are looking for someone with prior experience in a similar commercial laundry, linen service, hotel laundry, healthcare laundry, or industrial laundry environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial ironers, folders, and related linen finishing equipment
- Process towels, napkins, sheets, tablecloths, and other linen items
- Help lead daily workflow in the linen processing department
- Monitor linen quality, cleanliness, folding, finishing, and presentation
- Keep production moving safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Assist with sorting, feeding, folding, stacking, and organizing linen products
- Train or guide team members on proper processing procedures when needed
- Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, or quality problems to management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and production standards
- Support the team to meet daily production goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar commercial laundry, industrial laundry, linen processing, hotel laundry, healthcare laundry, or linen service role
- Experience using an industrial iron, commercial laundry ironer, or linen finishing equipment
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, push, pull, and work in a production environment constantly for an 8 hour shift with required breaks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial laundry setting
- Good communication skills
- Ability to help guide others and keep work moving efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior shift lead, production lead, team lead, or department lead experience
- Experience processing table linens, napkins, sheets, towels, or hospitality linens
- Experience in a linen service, uniform service, healthcare laundry, hospitality laundry, or commercial laundry facility
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Organized, reliable, and able to take ownership of daily responsibilities
- Comfortable helping train or support other team members
