Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating an exceptional café experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, baking pastries, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role is crucial in ensuring that each guest leaves with a smile and a desire to return.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Clover POS system efficiently for order taking and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, baking area, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation and handling in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for change calculations.
- Properly bake and handle all pastries/menu items
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or coffee experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling procedures in a café or retail environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in the food industry or food service is advantageous.
