Key Responsibilities and Priorities:
- Safety is our number one priority. This role will promote safety culture through participation in the weekly safety toolbox talks.
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers
- Identify new sources of supply to develop supply chain competition
- Improve existing supplier’s performance
- Work with Planning on demand requirements and lead time expectations
- Work with Sales and Customer Service to ensure costs are competitive with our market competition
- Negotiate costs with suppliers utilizing available market information
- Identify and complete cost saving projects
- Ensure timely delivery through supply and carrier follow-ups
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts
- Comfortable with ERP System
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Years of Experience Required:2-4 years of experience in the field or related area
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Certifications: CPIM Preferred
REQUIREMENTS (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands):
Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the work day.
