Provide hands-on engineering support for power plant electrical systems while also supporting mechanical equipment, balance-of-plant systems, and overall site reliability.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues, identify root causes of failures, and develop corrective actions to improve plant reliability and availability.
Lead and participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for forced outages, equipment failures, safety events, and recurring operational issues.
Manage capital and major maintenance projects from initial scope development and budgeting through engineering, execution, commissioning, and project closeout.
Provide technical support for electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, protective relays, MCCs, and associated plant distribution systems.
Support maintenance and operations teams with equipment evaluations, system modifications, performance improvements, and long-term reliability initiatives across the site.
Maintain and update engineering documentation, drawings, equipment specifications, technical standards, and project records.
Support regulatory and compliance requirements, with preference given to candidates with knowledge of NERC standards, electrical reliability requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
