Duties
- Assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on construction sites
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building codes to ensure accurate pipe installation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Support the setup and use of plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, and related mechanical components
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment during all construction activities
- Participate in remodeling projects by performing maintenance tasks and system upgrades as directed
- Help with pipe system maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal functioning of plumbing infrastructure
Experience
- Construction experience or background in construction plumbing is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety procedures is a plus
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints to interpret project specifications accurately
- Strong foundational math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and installation
- Customer service mindset with a professional attitude when interacting with team members or clients on-site
