HD Switch is a fast-growing, engineering-driven company focused on designing and delivering high-performance aftermarket parts for outdoor power equipment. We don’t just match OEM, we improve it. We’re looking for someone who can help us find the next wave of products to build, refine, and bring to market.
Position Overview
This role is all about identifying opportunity. You’ll be responsible for generating new product ideas, improving existing designs, and working closely with our suppliers and engineering team to turn concepts into sellable, high-quality products. You’ll operate at the intersection of market demand, product performance, and real-world application.
What You’ll Do
- Identify gaps in the market across lawn & garden, power equipment, and adjacent categories
- Develop new product concepts based on customer pain points, failure points, and competitive weaknesses
- Work with existing suppliers to refine designs, improve durability, and reduce cost
- Collaborate with internal engineering to validate and enhance product performance
- Analyze sales data, returns, and customer feedback to guide product decisions
- Expand current product lines and explore new categories
- Manage product development timelines from concept through production
- Evaluate samples, prototypes, and production runs for quality and functionality
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical intuition—understands how things fail and how to make them better
- Experience in product development, sourcing, engineering, or a related field
- E-commerce mindset (Amazon/eBay experience is a big plus)
- Ability to identify opportunity where others don’t
- Comfortable working with overseas suppliers and iterating on designs
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to balance analytics and real-world use
- Self-starter who can take ownership and run with ideas
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft Excel is a must and CAD is a huge plus

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
