GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision to maintain the facility and equipment in a safe, functioning and efficient manner in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the department supervisor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and follow daily maintenance schedule/instructions.

Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical. Etc as directed in accordance with established procedures..

Maintain plant and facility in good repair, ensure a safe, clean and orderly environment..
- Replace burned out light fixtures to include exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights etc. .

Assist in servicing heating and cooling units as directed..
-
Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.

Lubricate motors and pumps and change filters as directed.
-
Respond to emergency requests for maintenance service at all locations.

Keep records of repairs and maintenance checks.

Care and maintain department vehicles.
-
Report all incidents/accidents to supervisor.
- Ensure that maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.

Clean work assignment area, store equipment and supplies and keep work area free of hazardous conditions.

May cut grass, remove snow or perform outside grounds keeping duties.

Transport parts, supplies waste or personnel as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate with 2 to 3 years' experience preferred performing duties involved in any one of the following trades: Plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electric, etc.
Candidate MUST be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate MUST be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Education – One-year trade school certificate in HVAC or similar.

Knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
-
Experience – Two - three years’ experience preferred in similar or larger facility.
-
Other - Possess a valid driver’s license.
-
Furnish own tools.
-
Computer literate.
-
Furnish own inspected, automobile as needed for Center work.
