Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across residential units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding and mechanical repairs as needed to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks with proficiency in the use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track repairs, inspections, and service history.
- Oversee small projects such as painting apartments or upgrading fixtures while adhering to safety standards.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or renovations, demonstrating leadership and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests and communicating clearly about repair timelines and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately to perform complex repairs.
- Supervising experience or demonstrated leadership skills in a maintenance setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
