Position Overview
The Family Closet Coordinator plays a vital role in Chosen, Inc. of Wisconsin's mission to Foster Forever Families by living the Gospel so that all children can have a safe and loving home. This position supports foster, kinship, and adoptive families by coordinating appointments, preparing resources, managing inventory, engaging volunteers, and tracking program outcomes. The Coordinator helps create a welcoming, organized, Christ-centered environment where families experience practical support, encouragement, and the love of Christ.
Key ResponsibilitiesFamily Engagement & Appointments
- Manage communications and appointment scheduling for both the Waukesha Family Closet and Mobile Family Closet.
- Prepare family orders and provide in-person assistance during appointments.
- Ensure each family has a welcoming, compassionate, and mission-centered experience.
- Collect family feedback to support continuous program improvement.
Family Closet Operations
- Assess inventory needs for upcoming appointments, outreach events, and Mobile Family Closet visits.
- Stock, organize, and maintain inventory for both Family Closet locations.
- Communicate supply needs to leadership to support donor engagement and community drives.
- Assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized Family Closet spaces.
Volunteer Coordination
- Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, and communication.
- Help develop and implement best practices for Family Closet and Mobile Family Closet operations.
- Foster a positive volunteer experience that reflects Chosen's Christian mission and values.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate family, volunteer, inventory, and appointment records in CharityTracker and other organizational databases.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reports.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Business & Operations to ensure seamless coordination between the Waukesha Family Closet and Mobile Family Closet.
- Assist with outreach events, community partnerships, and ministry initiatives.
- Communicate scheduling updates, program needs, and operational concerns with staff.

- Serve as the hands and feet of Jesus by treating every family, volunteer, donor, and community partner with compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Pray with families, volunteers, or donors when appropriate and desired.
- Share personal faith and the hope of the Gospel when possible.
- Support and uphold the mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and core values of Chosen, Inc. of Wisconsin.
Qualifications
- Be a committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, as evidenced by personal testimony and consistent Christian character.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or nonprofit experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning nonprofit software such as CharityTracker.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Passion for serving foster, adoptive, and kinship families.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Willingness to work primarily onsite and travel with the Mobile Family Closet as needed.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays for ministry events and outreach opportunities.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 25–30 hours per week, with occasional evening and Saturday hours to support ministry events, outreach activities, and Mobile Family Closet operations.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
