Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Welder will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to projects that require precision and adherence to industry standards.
Duties
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on various materials, including sheet metal, aluminum and steel tube, bar and plate.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct pipe threading, rigging, and assembly tasks as needed.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely during the welding process.
- Apply primers, sealers, and under coats with brushes, rollers, or spray painting equipment
- Measure components using calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and plasma cutting techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including press brake machines.
- Familiarity with basic math principles for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication processes is desirable.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills for interpreting technical drawings.
