Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintaining and repairing equipment such as: Gearboxes, Motors, Extrusion Screws, Electrical panels, Metal Screening machines, Classifiers, Forklifts, Gravity feeders, Die heads, Heater bands, Temperature control panels, Tippers, anything to do with extrusion operation and its satellite equipment. This role requires a proactive approach and a can-do attitude to troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to uphold safety standards and maintain a productive work environment.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment including electrical systems, and hydraulic machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to logic controllers and high voltage systems.
- Utilize tools such as ammeters to diagnose electrical problems and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on all machinery as well as a list of routine maintenance check-ups on all machinery in the facility.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as required, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Be readily available to help fix equipment malfunctions as they arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and high voltage operations.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in industrial settings is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- A positive mindset coupled with experience is a must.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
