Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Elections Manager or designee, assists in duties associated with primary, general, consolidated, and special elections or other election-related duties. Duties may include serving on the absentee, early voting and/or Election Day Precinct Boards. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications for Election Worker:
- Must be a registered voter in Los Alamos County.
- Must have the necessary capacity to carry out precinct board member functions with acceptable skill and dispatch.
- Must execute the precinct board member’s oath of office.
- Must attend at least one school of instruction before each election.
Election Workers that are minors must be at least 16 years of age and are not required to be a registered voter.
