**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and customer service-driven individual to join our team. As a key member of our office, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting our doctors in their daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optometry and a passion for the health and well-being of others, as well as an enjoyment of working in a clinical environment.
**Duties**
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Check patients in and out.
- Explain insurance coverage to patients when needed.
- Process transactions for contact lens sales.
- Keep track of patient payments and charges using an Excel sheet and our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines by maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.

- Experience working in an optometric healthcare setting.
- Commitment to HIPAA guidelines and the security of patient information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
