Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Support children with their daily routines, including homework assistance, snack time, and transitions between activities.
- Implement safety protocols such as first aid procedures and CPR when necessary to ensure the health and safety of all children.
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive programs that accommodate children with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Uphold all childcare regulations, early childhood education standards, and program policies consistently.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with children in childcare settings, camps, or youth programs.
- Knowledge of first aid protocols, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Background in special education or childhood development is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage children through creative activities such as arts, theater, sports coaching, or tutoring.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience in behavior management techniques tailored for school-aged children.
