L.B. Johnson Middle School in Melbourne is looking for a dynamic middle school English Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements:
- FLDOE Certification in Certification in English 6-12 OR Middle Grades English 5-9
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Starting instructional pay is $50,450 per year, plus there is a pay supplement for an advanced degree.

Our voters passed a millage in 2022 and all instructional staff, from zero to 19+ years of experience, will receive a supplement. The pay ranges based on years of experience, but for a teacherwith 19+ years experience, that's approximately an additional $8,110 (pay and supplement are prorated based on start date) in your pocket! This raises the overall compensation higher than our neighboring school districts.
