Key Responsibilities
- Precision Dispensing: Accurately prepare, package, and label medications in strict accordance with prescriptions and regulatory guidelines.
- Clear Communication: Serve as a reliable point of contact for physicians' offices, long-term care facilities, and patients. Handle phone calls, clarify orders, and resolve issues with a professional demeanor.
- Data Integrity: Accurately enter patient profiles and prescription data into the pharmacy management system, thoroughly verifying details to eliminate errors.
- Specialized Focus (Role Dependent):
- For LTC Focus: Coordinate complex medication cycles, multi-dose packaging, and deliveries.
- For Compounding Focus: Mix, measure, and prepare customized medications under strict safety protocols (USP compliance).
Qualifications & Skills
Core Requirements (Both Roles):
- Superb Attention to Detail: A proven track record of maintaining extreme accuracy in fast-paced or highly regulated environments.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication. You must be able to listen actively, speak clearly with medical staff, and document information accurately.
Preferred Experience (A major plus for individual roles):
- Role 1: Prior experience working in a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy environment.
- Role 2: Hands-on experience with non-sterile compounding techniques (USP <795> or USP <797>).
