Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
- Conduct welding tasks for structural repairs or component fabrication as needed.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal climate control within the facility.
- Assist with plumbing system maintenance, including leak detection, pipe repairs, and fixture replacements.
- Support facilities maintenance by patching and painting residential areas or common spaces to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Follow detailed schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong electrical experience with repair of electrical equipment and understanding.
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC system repair, plumbing maintenance, welding techniques, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, plumbing, and general facilities maintenance is essential.
