Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies.
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Perform vital signs assessments and assist with oral surgery procedures, demonstrating strong knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by following infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and dental equipment maintenance standards.
- Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and providing excellent patient care to foster trust and comfort.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental x-ray procedures.

- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control expertise.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and clinical confidentiality policies compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety protocols; experience with oral surgery or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals.
- A commitment to continuous learning in areas such as endodontics, prosthodontics, or advanced dental technology like 3D scanners enhances your contribution to our practice.
