Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced casual dining environment with an upscale dining standard. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills & a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing front-of-house staff, ensuring a high standard of service, & maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Front of House Manager will also be responsible for training staff and ensuring compliance with food & safety regulations. We are looking for someone who is a focused & driven individual to join our team at Porcupine Pub & Grille.
Duties
- Supervise & coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop team members in customer service, food handling, & restaurant procedures.
- Ensure all staff is upholding our standard.
- Oversee cash handling procedures & ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness & organization all areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service between front & back of house.
- Address customer inquiries & resolve any issues promptly.
- Implement food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Conduct interviews & participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Assist with scheduling for FOH staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS is preferred.
- Experience in high volume upscale yet casual dining environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in staff training, team management, & leadership within a hospitality setting.
- Previous experience in shift management, kitchen management, or culinary roles is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
- Understanding of food safety standards & regulations related to food service management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
