Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Technician with strong installation and leadership capabilities who can manage residential AV projects, mentor junior technicians, and serve as a client-facing representative. While programming experience is a bonus, it is not required for this role—physical install mastery and the ability to lead on-site are the top priorities.
Responsibilities

Lead installation of residential AV, lighting, shading, surveillance, network/Wi-Fi, and automation systems

Supervise and mentor junior technicians and helpers on job sites

Coordinate with the owner and project team to ensure efficient scheduling and execution

Serve as a professional, client-facing representative during installations

Ensure installs are completed accurately, cleanly, and to the highest standard

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently

Collaborate on continuous improvement of field operations
Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on AV installation experience, including structured wiring, mounting, terminations, rack building, and basic networking

Experience leading or mentoring team members in a residential setting

Familiarity with Lutron, Control4, Savant, or Crestron (proficiency in at least one platform strongly preferred)

Strong networking skills, including configuration and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks

Excellent communication skills and client-facing demeanor

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Capable of working independently and managing small teams

Valid driver’s license

Programming experience is a plus but not required
Compensation
-
Hourly Rate: $34–$45/hour depending on skill set and certifications
