Overview
We are seeking a motivated Operations and Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist with daily administrative tasks. McCoy's Heating & Air is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional to support our daily business operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to team success. Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration is preferred. Experience with QuickBooks and ServiceTitan is a plus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing vendor invoices and customer payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing and sending customer invoices
- Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up on payments
- Reconciling accounts and assisting with routine reporting
- Supporting scheduling, filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks
- Communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable or accounts receivables roles
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Quickbooks
- Understanding of basic technical accounting concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for effective bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining high levels of accuracy in all tasks
Location: 81 Mill Masters Dr, Jackson TN
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Compensation: Dependent on experience; benefits available including medical, dental, vision, long- and short-term disability, and company-matched retirement plan after a waiting period.
