Machine Sciences specializes in machining some of the most complex machined parts in the aerospace, high tech surveillance and defense (just to name a few). We are a leader in cutting edge innovation and work with some of the most advanced companies globally. We are growing! We are adding 17 brand new machines to a new cell this year! To meet the demands of business, we're building out our precision machining teams. We are hiring for weekday day (advanced machinists) and weekend day shifts.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are hungry to continually expand their knowledge base and advance their career with us. Currently we are seeking Machinists precision level 5axis machinists on milling CNC machines. We are also open to 3axis machinists for our weekend shift which offers growth and training opportunity to advance. The Job:

In this position, you will be responsible for the daily production of machined parts. The position offers challenging production based work, modern equipment, talented coworkers, and a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Current Opening Availability- responsibilities could vary depending each positions needs and expectations. This is a general overview.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various modern machines on the shop floor
- Mills include HAAS 3/4 Axis, VF2 4 Axis, VF4 3 Axis, MAM 5 Axis, DMU 5 Axis, Makino 4 Axis & Grob 5 Axis - we have some openings that do not require 5 axis machining experience.
- Operate, monitor, and complete production jobs on 5-Axis CNC Mills, or other machines checking parts to print, making offset changes, and producing quality parts. Working on mills such as Haas or Brother verticals.
- May be doing multiple set ups per day or might be running more production parts on off shifts.
- Read drawings and make offset changes independently
- Execute and adjust programs as needed
- Be flexible to lean in to help where else needed within the shop
- Job responsibilities will be adjusted slightly depending on which need you fill.
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of CNC Mill or lathe machining experience. Level I-III
- Looking for 3/4/&5 axis experience
- understanding and exposure to working with GD&T prints and designs
- Strong Operator/Set up machinist okay too, though the current need will be doing more production based work and less set ups and tear downs (weekend shift)
- Blueprint reading skills
- Ability to edit programs at the controller
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to work well with others
- Positive, collaborative and hardworking individuals with a solution oriented mind sets are highly desired!
- Must be a US citizen or a valid green card holder due to ITAR compliance. No other sponsorship of work visa type permitted at this time.
Bonus Points for:
- Lathe and/or B-axis mill turns
- Siemens 840D controllers
- Probing/macro writing
- CAM system experience (hyperMILL, MasterCAM, Esprit, etc…)
- CAD system experience (Solidworks, SpaceClaim, etc…)
- 5 axis machining

- Typically $24 to $35+/hr. - please note this range spans multiple labor categories and pay will be determined by your years of experience and other benchmarking factors. For level I Operator roles, the range is $24-$29. Level II and above will be assessed depending on experience somewhere between $29-$35 p/h

- Per the job description, we have weekday day open for 5axis precision milling machinists and weekend day for 3axis milling machinists. Lathe, open for discussion. All training happens on days/ 4-6 weeks of training, all day shift then moved to hired shift, no exceptions. 1yr commitment at least for shift placements. Please confirm the outlined shifts will work for you.
