About the Opportunity
A well-established, nationally recognized electrical contractor with over six decades of experience is seeking a seasoned Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations across projects in the Pacific and Mountain West. This is a traveling role supporting large-scale construction in transmission, substation, renewable energy, and industrial power sectors. The company is a subsidiary of a major publicly traded infrastructure services group and is known for its strong safety culture, quality standards, and diverse project portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day field supervision and leadership for electrical construction crews on utility-scale transmission, substation, and/or renewable energy projects
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Enforce strict safety protocols and lead daily toolbox talks, JHAs, and site safety audits
- Interpret and work from engineered drawings, single-line diagrams, and project specifications
- Manage subcontractors and self-perform crews, ensuring quality and compliance at every phase
- Communicate proactively with project managers, owners, and engineering teams
- Identify and escalate schedule risks, scope changes, and field issues in a timely manner
- Mentor and develop foremen and journeymen in the field
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or senior foreman role
- Proven background in one or more of the following: high-voltage transmission, substation construction, wind/solar/renewable energy, industrial power
- Journeyman Electrician license (preferred; IBEW experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, and applicable OSHA standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage crews of 10–50+ in remote or travel-based environments
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Pacific and Mountain West — this is a travel/per diem position
- Solid communication and organizational skills; ability to hold crews accountable while maintaining morale
- Proficiency with project documentation tools and scheduling software
