Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This onsite role provides the opportunity to work closely with 20-23 students who bring a variety of unique needs and strengths to the classroom community. You’ll partner with educators and families to help create inclusive and accessible educational experiences.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license or relevant certifications
- Experience teaching students with visual impairments, preferably in a school setting
- Strong understanding of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies
- Collaborative approach with team members, families, and administrators
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate IEPs in collaboration with educational teams
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility
- Offer consultation and training to staff regarding best practices and assistive technology
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving educational needs
- Foster a supportive, empowering environment that encourages student independence
