Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join the Cherokee County School District team in Gaffney, South Carolina. This full-time position supports students across K–12 grade levels through comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and collaboration with school teams.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychological services while partnering with educators, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for K–12 students.

Collect, analyze, and interpret assessment data.

Prepare evaluation reports and provide recommendations based on student needs.

Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.

Support special education processes and student intervention planning.

Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements.
Required:
-
Active South Carolina School Psychologist license.

School Psychologist II certification in South Carolina.

Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.

Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
-
Experience working in K–12 school settings.

Knowledge of special education eligibility processes.

Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
