POSITION OVERVIEW
The SBA Note Officer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining SBA loan documentation to ensure compliance with SBA regulations and bank policies. This role supports the end-to-end loan process, from closing to servicing, ensuring accuracy of loan notes and documentation while minimizing risk and maintaining eligibility for SBA guarantees.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Loan generation, funding and boarding

Handles charge off, down grade and non-accrual placement

Reviews and monitors collateral insurances.

Handles general loan servicing for SBA 7a loans

Reviews daily loan payment and charge back

Monitors tickler report and UCC continuation

Reviews participation payment holdover G/L

Reviews participation payment submission

Handles monthly SBA 1502 report including late payment submission

Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Must be detail oriented

Dependable, reliable, and a self-starter with multi-tasking skills.

Strong knowledge of SBA SOP guidelines (7(a) and/or 504 programs)

Substantial knowledge of loan operation, servicing, and documentation
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum Experience: 5+ years’ Lending and Loan Servicing experience.
