Responsibilities: The following items are completed in English and/or Spanish, as appropriate: Improve the reading skills of students who have been identified as reading significantly below grade level. Familiarity with the MTSS Framework. Ability to identify each students strengths, weaknesses, and interests, to engage and motivate the studentKnowledge of various assessment toolsAdminister and analyze diagnostic tests and use data to inform daily instructionKnowledge of the latest literacy intervention programsKnowledge of phonics and phonological awareness instruction in English and SpanishInstruct small group intervention classes in Spanish and EnglishWork collaboratively with school personnel to assist with implementation of Individual Student Success Plans and consistent progress monitoring to foster students academic growthKnowledgeable about Special Education (SpEd) and English Learners (EL) in order to work with teachers to design appropriate reading programsModel reading strategies in the content areaCommunicate with content area teachers in order to support students with their curriculum in a small group settingBe a resource to content area teachers in selecting reading materials for studentsAbility to work with a multi-disciplinary team of educatorsTeam-oriented individual willing to collaborate with the school community in the best interest of student growthAlign lesson objectives to CCSS and WIDA standardsCommunicate with families regarding student progress and supportsA positive person, willing to become consistently involved in all academic and social aspects of school life to support student success, school spirit, and school climate and cultureRespect for diversityPerform standard duties as required by Administration
