Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Coordinator with Mandarin proficiency to assist in managing our production process from order placement to delivery. Our products include ceramic tabletop items such as coffee mugs, serving platters, as well as other goods like slippers and cold-weather items. The ideal candidate will have experience communicating with factories in China and overseeing production and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with factories in China and internal teams regarding production schedules and deliveries.
- Track and manage orders from factories overseas to the buyer’s distribution centers locally.
- Assist the Head of Production with product creation, sourcing, manufacturing, and finalization.
- Maintain organization of sample rooms, ensure timely submission of samples for customer approvals.
- Review vendor manuals to provide factories with production requirements.
- Work closely with designers and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Get familiar with and follow EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) requirements for order processing.
- Assist the logistics department by monitoring shipments and preparing shipping documentation.
- Collaborate with the accounting department on invoices and payments.
- Provide regular status updates on production and ongoing tasks.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Mandarin (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in production or supply chain management, ideally within the ceramic tabletop industry or similar (slippers, cold-weather items, etc.).
- Strong communication skills for liaising with international suppliers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, Pivot tables).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in order processing, logistics, and working with EDI systems.
- Team player with excellent time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
