Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic financial services team. Duties
- Assist licensed loan officers in preparing and organizing loan applications, supporting documents, and contracts for various mortgage products including FHA, VA, conventional, and other government-backed loans
- Verify borrower information through credit analysis, income verification, and asset documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all loan files comply with FNMA (Fannie Mae), TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure), Fair Housing regulations, and other federal or state requirements
- Support loan origination processes by coordinating with borrowers, real estate agents, underwriters, and escrow officers to facilitate timely approvals
- Maintain detailed records of loan processing activities using Encompass or similar mortgage servicing software
- Monitor compliance with all applicable banking regulations and mortgage servicing standards throughout the loan lifecycle
- Assist in preparing disclosures, disclosures updates, and ensuring adherence to TILA (Truth in Lending Act) guidelines during the loan process
Requirements
- Valid license as a Loan Officer Assistant or relevant licensing credentials in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience supporting loan origination processes within the financial services or mortgage industry
- Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing procedures, and industry knowledge of financial regulations including TILA, TRID compliance, and fair housing laws
- Familiarity with underwriting processes for FHA loans, VA loans, conventional mortgages, and other government-backed programs
- Knowledge of mortgage processing software such as Encompass or similar platforms
- Ability to perform credit analysis, basic math calculations, escrow calculations, and 10-key typing efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling contracts and compliance documentation
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality
