Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building interior systems, including plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and facilities equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal operation of water supply and drainage.
- Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs to walls, doors, windows, and furniture to uphold building integrity.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance painting, welding, and mechanical repairs with precision and safety.
- Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and performing system upgrades to ensure guest comfort.
- Follow safety protocols while working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment, and welding tools to prevent accidents.
- Assist with building interior maintenance projects that enhance the aesthetic appeal of the hotel environment.
- Support facilities equipment maintenance by managing inventory of parts and tools necessary for ongoing repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or residential sector.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, welding, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read technical diagrams such as schematics for electrical systems or HVAC layouts.
- Knowledge of building interior maintenance standards along with residential painting skills is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
