Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and inventory management to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and motivate warehouse team members, providing clear managerial communication and guidance to meet productivity goals.
- Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize distribution center operations and support shipping & receiving functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including distribution center management or warehouse supervisor roles.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management systems, and inventory management practices.
- Hands-on experience operating sit down and stand up forklift trucks, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with logistics processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling standards.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop warehouse staff effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
