Warehouse Lead | Forklift | Shipping & Receiving
Hansen Bros. Moving & Storage is currently seeking a full-time (M-F daytime with occasional scheduled Saturday shifts), skilled Warehouse Lead for our household goods storage warehouse in Seattle, WA.
Candidate Capabilities:
- Previous household goods shipping & receiving experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Internet, and Database entry (Inventory Management)
- Forklift driving experience & certifiable
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be punctual and reliable
- Highly detail oriented & organized with strong paperwork skills
- Unload / Load vehicles - Trailers, straight trucks, containers, flat beds. etc.
- Lead a 1 - 4 person team
- Build crates on an as needed basis for items to be moved
Position Responsibilities:
- Shipping/Receiving Management - Receiving and unloading freight both manually and with equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Checking for damaged items; verifying quantities and condition of items shipping and receiving.
- Unloading and Loading Household Goods – Manually unloading household good items from moving truck into storage vaults. Also manually unloading household good items from storage vaults into moving truck.
- Customer Service – Working face to face with customer’s as they access their stored goods. Gather packing material and load in to customer’s vehicles.
- Inventory Management - Performing regular physical warehouse inventories; maintaining accurate inventory records by adding or deleting as items that are shipped or received; operating a computer to access, enter, and correct information; communicating with customers, vendors and fellow staff members with excellent customer service skills; may provide advice regarding inventory availability; may prepare damage claims for supervisor's review and signature; may coordinate disposal of surplus property.
- Warehouse Management - Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment; ensuring ongoing compliance with internal and external safety standards; staging goods for customers and for special events (i.e. storage auctions).

- Candidate must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to carry and climb a ladder.
- Candidate will sometimes need to work in the outside elements (wind, cold, rain, etc.)
- Candidate must be able to work on select Saturdays from 8am to 1pm upon management request.
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Candidate must submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Once hired, employee will be subject to random drug screens during employment.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
