Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly to patients in various settings. As a key member of our mobile healthcare unit, you will travel to different locations, including homes, clinics, and community centers, to perform blood sampling and related procedures with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Collect venipuncture blood samples and other specimens from patients across diverse environments, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Ensure all specimen collection procedures adhere to aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols for accuracy and safety.
- Obtain vital signs, assess patient physiology, and provide basic patient care during visits.
- Document patient information, specimen details, and collection data accurately into electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Handle specimens carefully during transportation and processing, maintaining integrity for laboratory analysis.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service throughout the visit.
- Follow all laboratory procedures, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols diligently.
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture (blood sampling).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices.
- Experience with hospital or clinical laboratory environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina for extended periods of travel and patient interaction.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation accuracy.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen handling.

Pay: $25.58 - $30.80 per hour
