Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Couples Mental Health Provider to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive mental health services to couples. You will play a key role in conducting assessments, providing evidence-based therapies, and developing personalized treatment plans that promote mental wellness and recovery. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions
- Deliver couples and family counseling sessions employing techniques like psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy
- Facilitate intake evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans aligned with patient needs and clinical best practices
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including PTSD care, grief support, addiction recovery, gender issues, anxiety, and depression
- Document all patient interactions meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinate services across outpatient or inpatient settings
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and engagement
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or equivalent credentialing required by state regulations
- Proven experience in behavioral health settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient facilities
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding for documentation and billing purposes
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those experiencing trauma or PTSD
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration
