Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing orders and transactions. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a clean and organized environment will contribute significantly to our guests' dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Process transactions using the POS system efficiently.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Prepare food items as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms by regularly sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a genuine rapport with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards is a plus.
- Basic understanding of retail math for managing cash transactions accurately.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant.
