2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Our client is seeking a dynamic 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee a team of 30-50 unionized employees in their high-volume assembly operation. This position is ideal for someone passionate about driving operational success, championing continuous improvement, and maintaining a culture of safety and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team to achieve production, quality, and improvement targets through training, coaching, and effective communication.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to minimize downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and meet labor efficiency goals.
- Oversee and implement product and engineering changes to ensure seamless execution.
- Promote and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies, making safety the top priority.
- Monitor work order progress to maintain quality and ensure timely completion.
- Manage timekeeping and attendance for the team.
- Maintain strong working relationships with union members in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean methodologies and processes.
- Previous experience supervising in a union environment (strongly preferred).
- Background in high-volume, medium mix assembly processes (preferred).
- Ability to wear a respirator in designated areas when required.
- A 2- or 4-year degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Proven leadership in unionized manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in implementing Lean tools and strategies to drive efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
