Role Summary
We are seeking a Benefits Design & Integration Specialist to support a global HCM transformation program. This role is responsible for supporting the design, validation, and integration of benefits processes with payroll to ensure accurate deductions, employer cost treatment, and alignment with financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and validation of benefit plan structures (health, retirement, voluntary benefits).
- Validate employee and employer contribution logic and ensure alignment with payroll cycles.
- Ensure benefits eligibility and enrollment processes integrate correctly with payroll.
- Validate pre-tax, post-tax, and employer-paid deductions and their timing within payroll.
- Partner with payroll accounting to validate employer cost treatment and GL alignment.
- Participate in requirements definition (RTM), Fit/Gap discussions, and process design reviews.
- Identify and escalate integration risks between Benefits, Payroll, ATLAS, and Finance.
- Support planning for benefits data conversion and cutover (e.g., enrollments, balances, mid-year changes).
- Validate integration with third-party benefit vendors and administrators.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR systems, or benefits operations.
- Strong understanding of benefits deductions and payroll impacts.
- Experience participating in HR, payroll, specifically Oracle HCM implementations.
Preferred
- Experience with Oracle HCM Benefits or similar platforms.
- Experience in global or multi-entity environments working with a highly complex benefit and legal entity operating model.
- Familiarity with payroll accounting, benefit costing and reconciliation concepts.
- Experience working on transformation programs.
- Experience working with a 3rd party benefit administration provider preferred, preferably WTW Benefit Connect.
Success Criteria
- Benefits design integrates cleanly with payroll processing and calculations.
- Employer costs and deductions are accurately reflected in payroll accounting.
- No downstream payroll or accounting issues caused by benefits configuration.
- Integration risks identified early during design phase.
