Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests in a timely manner.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste while maintaining quality.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential.
- Strong culinary skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
