Company Overview:
Tree House Craft Cannabis is a local, community-focused cannabis dispensary with locations in Pepperell, Dracut, and Groton, Mass. We offer a variety of adult-use cannabis products and an inviting atmosphere where customers feel welcome. We also grow some of our own on our 3-acre outdoor cannabis farm in Western Mass. We're excited to harvest almost 3,000 plants this season!
Job Overview:
Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. After completing onboarding and training modules, pay increases to $18/hour plus tips. Most employees get the raise within their first few weeks of work. Opportunities exist for motivated individuals looking for more responsibility to receive additional raises and based on performance and pending training.
You're comfortable wearing many hats. You could be ringing folks up, welcoming them to our stores, counting inventory for compliance, updating our chalkboard menu, or helping to clean up the store. This is a "foot in the door" position, and the right individuals will find opportunities for full-time work within the company should they choose.

We seek collaborative, community-minded individuals with a mature outlook. You understand this is a job, and not a place to hang out and get high. We will provide you with some solid staff samples, so you can work on that at home.
Key Responsibilities
Budtending/Customer Service:
- Share information about cannabis products, including recommendations tailored to individual preferences and needs.
- Process transactions accurately, manage cash and card transactions, apply discounts, and perform daily sales reconciliations.
- Greet every customer enthusiastically and politely; strive to meet their needs with expertise and grace.
Greeting and Safety:
- Offer a warm greeting and guide customers with warmth and charm; direct them to the sales floor.
- Direct customers to available parking spaces.
- Clean up trash in the parking lot.
- Ensure no one is consuming on site.
- Accept deliveries and move equipment and supplies in and out of the stores.
- Check IDs to ensure they are valid; deny entry to anyone who has been banned from the store or is underage.
Assisting Managers with Resolving Conflicts
- Calmly de-escalate customers who are engaged in conflict with staff with the goal of coming to amicable, customer-centric resolution.
- Escort customers out of the store when required.
- In rare occasions and only as a last resort, call police, fire, or EMS.
- Maintain banned customer database.
Inventory Support:
- Adhere to detailed checklist protocols to maintain inventory requirements.
- Complete inventory audits.
- Replenish and organize merchandise, ensuring our offerings are always presented attractively.
- Stay vigilant on product levels, signaling restocking needs promptly.
Marketing Support:
- Complete marketing audits
- Collaborate with the marketing squad, capturing the essence of our daily store vibe through photos and videos.
- Educate our patrons about ongoing promotions and deals.
- Support with keeping the menu up to date.
- Social Media Projects (and ideas) encouraged.
Cleaning and Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Ensure customer-facing and staff areas are tidy and supplies are well-stocked.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to customer email and phone inquiries.
- Stickering, stuffing mailers, investigating discrepancies,
- Any other tasks assigned by the Manager on Duty.
- We all help out where we can. Projects that are not listed above are in abundance and your respectful agreement to help out wherever the company feels your time is best spent is in everyone's interest.

Physical Requirements
- Standing/Walking: Ability to remain on one's feet in an upright position at a workstation without moving about, as well as to move about in the workspace for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Handling/Grasping: Frequent handling of products, tools, and equipment, as well as paperwork, necessitates manual dexterity and the ability to grasp and manipulate objects.
- Lifting: Ability to lift items of varying weights from floor to shelf height and carry them for short distances. Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds regularly.
- Stooping/Bending: Regular requirement to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs to perform tasks such as stocking shelves, retrieving inventory, or assisting customers with heavy items.
- Visual Acuity: Must possess visual acuity to check for accuracy and completeness, organize items, and inspect the appearance of products.
- Repetitive Motion: The Capacity to perform repetitive tasks with efficiency over the course of the shift, such as scanning items, typing, or arranging products.
- Climbing: Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach merchandise stored at various heights.
- Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push or pull items, such as a stock cart with merchandise.
- Speaking/Hearing: Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Must be able to hear and respond to coworkers' and customers' requests in a retail environment.
