Role Overview
LX Pantos America, Inc. is a global logistics and supply chain management company delivering integrated logistics services across industries. As part of our growing operations in agricultural machinery logistics, we are seeking a skilled Mechanic to support tractor assembly and maintenance activities at our Tumwater warehouse.
The Mechanic will be responsible for the assembly, inspection, and light maintenance of tractors and agricultural machinery stored and processed at our Tumwater facility. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse setting while coordinating with the logistics and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Assemble tractors and agricultural equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and specifications
- Conduct mechanical inspections and functional tests prior to delivery (Pre-Delivery Inspection, PDI)
- Install or adjust mechanical components including wheels, seats, hitches, and hydraulic fittings
- Assist in container unloading, machinery staging, and inventory organization
- Document assembly and inspection results in accordance with internal SOPs
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues or defects; escalate to technical support when necessary
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and hoists (training provided if needed)
- Follow all workplace safety and compliance standards (OSHA, company policies)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Degree in Mechanical and Industrial engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Proven experience working as a mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment.
- Hands on experience with diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing and maintaining machinery.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Strong understanding or mechanical system and hydraulics.
- Team player with strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment (e.g., tractors, loaders)
- Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in mechanics with be advantage.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic understanding of diesel engine systems
- Bilingual skills (English/Korean or English/Spanish) are a plus
Working Conditions
