About Us:
USM Aerostructures is a tight-knit, family-owned aerospace manufacturer. We pride ourselves on producing premium sheet metal components, welded parts, and complex assemblies for the aviation sector. We are expanding our close team and looking for a dedicated craftsman to join us.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Single Shift)
Key Duties:
- Machine Operation: Set up and run manual fabrication equipment, including press brakes, shears, rollers, and punch presses.
- Technical Print Reading: Translate CAD models, blueprints, and engineering drafts into finished, high-precision parts.
- Material Handling: Form and manipulate aerospace-grade metals, including titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Precision Inspection: Validate part dimensions against strict aerospace tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and squares.
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with our engineering team to refine manufacturing workflows and troubleshoot technical designs.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain an organized workspace and support cross-functional shop floor needs when production demands shift.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Fabrication Experience: Demonstrated background in sheet metal layout, forming, and specialized manufacturing.
- Setup Capabilities: Hands-on experience configuring punch presses or press brakes independently.
- Practical Math Skills: Proficient in shop math required to calculate dimensions, bends, and material allowances.
- Quality Focused: Deeply committed to meticulous craftsmanship and accuracy.
- Safety-Minded: Strict adherence to safety protocols and clean shop practices.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
