Job Purpose Summary:
The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), also known as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to residents in a licensed mental health residential facility. This includes psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support recovery and stabilization.

Medical Orders signed upon admission of the client

Patient needs to be seen within24hours of admission

Ability to complete a medication management appointment in30 minutes

Ability to complete a psychiatric evaluation in60minutes
Responsibilities Include:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status exams and diagnostic evaluations

Diagnose and treat mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders in accordance withDSM-5 criteria

Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in compliance with Ohio laws and standards of care

Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
