Front Desk (Part-Time)

Part-Time | In Person / Possibly up to 40 hrs a week during busy season
9am to 2pm - some evenings and requesting Flexibility for days & evenings for the summer high season months.
Stardust Motel is looking for a friendly, reliable, detail-loving human to join our Front Desk team.
We’re a vintage roadside stay with a 1960s neon sign out front and retro charm inside — and we take both hospitality and cleanliness seriously. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys people, loves a well-organized space, and doesn’t mind wearing a few hats.
At Stardust, front desk isn’t just check-ins and check-outs. You’ll also learn how to inspect rooms to ensure every guest walks into a space that feels fresh, intentional, and fully stardusted.
9am–2:00pm - with options for more hours for a candidate that has flexibility. Wallace shifts with the seasons, and so do we.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and check in guests with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones and manage reservations
- Handle guest questions and problem-solve with confidence
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- Communicate clearly with housekeeping, maintenance, and management
- Keep the front desk area organized and welcoming
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of hotel front desk experience required
- Experience with hotel reservation systems required
- Computer savvy and comfortable navigating booking platforms
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable learning room inspections and quality checks
- Friendly, calm, and solution-oriented
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Must be available Fridays and Saturdays
- Must be flexible with weekday scheduling
What Success Looks Like in 60 Days
By 60 days, the right candidate will confidently run an 9am–4pm / 9am -2pm / 2p -10p shift independently, complete guest check-ins and check-outs smoothly, communicate clearly with housekeeping and maintenance, and perform room inspections with consistency and attention to detail.
They will understand our standards, anticipate guest needs, and help keep the daily flow calm, organized, and welcoming. Most importantly, guests feel taken care of from the moment they walk through the door.
Compensation
Pay is $12–$14 per hour DOE (depending on experience). As you demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both front desk and inspection responsibilities, there may be opportunities for increased hours during peak season.
