American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Work in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
-
Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Block schedule approved
-
Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submission

Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic charting system experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
-
Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and ABG interpretation
-
Skilled in cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac monitoring
-
Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and multisystem organ dysfunction care
-
Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients

Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
-
Onsite orientation includes non-billable modules (RN average 4-6 hours)

Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered

Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

No travel pairs or groups accepted

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation

All RTO must be listed at time of submission

First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
