Licensed Practical Nurse
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to mental health and substance abuse patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Registered Nurse and DON with the detox process.
- Assists with the admission assessments and procedures for new patients.
- Assist in the discharge preparation process.
- Administer medications as ordered
- Medication management/Performing medication passes at scheduled times.
- Using verbal de-escalation techniques and interventions when needed
- Implements nursing care plans with the Registered Nurses.
- Completing daily progress notes on each patient
- Taking vital signs
- Responding to emergency codes promptly (i.e. medical emergency, psychiatric crisis, etc.)
- Transcribing physician orders into the medication administration records
- Communicating with staff involved in patient care to provide the best quality care to each patient
- Communicating with the psychiatrist, addictionologist, and the medical doctors relating to each patient.
The ideal candidate would have knowledge of basic nursing skills, have the ability to pay attention to detail, have open or flexible availability, and a high patient focus drive.
Job Requirements:

Clear and active LPN License

CPR Certification- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

LVN (Preferred)

BLS Certification (Preferred)

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN
