POSITION TITLE
Assembly Technician (Full Time – Non-exempt)
ROLE
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assisting the company in our mission to deliver superior quality
parts to our customers. As an assembly technician you will make critical contributions to our company’s
reputation and growth while ensuring the excellence of our products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Sets up and operates a variety of assembly tools including hand tools and power tools
- Assembles products based on specifications and technical drawings
- Utilizes precision measuring tools
- Detects and troubleshoots machinery and/or equipment issues
- Examines/Inspects products or work to verify conformance to specifications
- Installs bushings using both press fit and shrink fit processes
- Grounds stud installation and tests to customer specifications
- Initiates and monitors continuous improvement projects
- Completes other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge: Working knowledge of mixing and applying sealers and adhesives for wet
installation preferred, working knowledge of blueprints.
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of assembly experience
Skills/Abilities: Able to perform work accurately and thoroughly, strong reliability, able to show
consideration and professionalism when working with others, ability to read
assembly blueprints and follow work orders or routers, able to install nut plates by
sinking drilled holes with a micro stop, able to set micro stop for proper counter
sink depth, and proficient in the setup and operation of A squeeze and C squeeze.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Talking: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly.
Average Hearing: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in a moderate to loud shop
environment around other employees and equipment
Repetitive Motion: The employee is regularly required to use hand tools and other equipment
Finger Dexterity: The employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate equipment controls
and a wide variety of tools.
Average Vision: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust the
focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of
eyeglasses/contacts)
Physical Strength: The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (unassisted). May
sit as well as stand, stoop, sit, bend, kneel, squat, crawl and walk for long periods of
time.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard indoor shop environment with moderate climate control and adequate lighting. Occasional
exposure to work near and/or around moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. Occasional additional
hours outside of regular scheduled hours and/or overtime may be required to complete tasks or projects.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, work orders and other
documents. Ability to communicate clearly.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
