The Convenience Center Attendant I is responsible for supervising and operating solid waste convenience centers throughout Sevier County. The primary areas of responsibility include assisting individuals with the proper disposal of household trash and debris, informing the public about regulations regarding recyclable and hazardous materials, and ensuring the cleanliness, security, and maintenance of the center. This position also involves monitoring facility conditions, reporting needed repairs or equipment issues to the Solid Waste Director, and enforcing waste disposal regulations. Job performance for this position will be evaluated by the Director of Solid Waste Management based on the cleanliness and organization of assigned convenience centers, ability to interact effectively with the public, knowledge of solid waste regulations, and physical ability to perform job duties in various weather conditions.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
