Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Support team members through bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting in food preparation when needed
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent guest service
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar booking platforms is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in upselling, sales transactions processing, and guest relations
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting and cash handling; understanding of food safety standards is essential
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry enhances your ability to engage with guests about menu options
