American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU/PCU (Cardiovascular ICU/Progressive Care Unit) position on nights, requiring at least 2 years of PCU/progressive care experience and active ACLS and NIH certifications.

Work is performed in a 27-bed Cardiac Care Unit (2S CCU) on the second floor of an inpatient hospital setting

Cares for cardiac, post-op cardiac, and medical ICU overflow patients
-
Acuity-adaptable unit with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity

Equipment used includes EKOS, balloon pump, Impella, IV pumps, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators

EMR system is Epic
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (1800–0630)

Every other weekend required
-
Call is based on low census only; no additional on-call shifts required

Floating to the ICU or other inpatient units required as needed

Active IN or Compact RN license required

Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/progressive care experience required

Strong cardiac rhythm knowledge required; candidates must pass a facility EKG test with a score of 90% or higher

US Social Security Number (SSN) required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Previous cardiac/critical care ICU experience is preferred

Candidates must pass an EKG assessment; two attempts are allowed, and if not passed, candidates may reapply to Franciscan positions after 30 days
-
Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; sweatshirts and plain t-shirts are not permitted, and visible facial piercings must be removed or covered with flesh-colored retainers

Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced bill rate
