Job Description:
- We are seeking a dedicated Property Scout for the New Jersey area.
- The position requires the individual to almost exclusively be on the road and in municipal buildings attending Tax Lien Sales.
- Sometimes training and meetings will be necessary.
- You will play a direct role in assessing potential properties for acquisition and renovation.
- Scouting properties and conducting due diligence using our proprietary forms.
- Attending Tax Lien Sale Auctions and participating in the bidding process. All necessary information and training will be provided, and we will ensure you are fully prepared before attending auctions.
- Potential travel to other states to conduct due diligence. Please be prepared to travel to almost any state but we typically focus on: South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Indiana.
Work Schedule:
- This position can be cyclical and seasonal, meaning the workflow can increase or decrease depending on the time of year and auction dates. However, when needed, scouts are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week generally within standard business hours (9am - 5pm). When overtime is needed scouts will be compensated accordingly.
- Distribution time between scouting and driving may vary depending on operational needs. For example, if a district which is far from the scouts home is assigned, they will have to drive farther than expected.
- There is a 30min commute expectation to and from the assigned district. Meaning work hours do not immediately start from leaving home. For example, if driving time to the assigned district is 1h, 30mins of that hour are considered commutes while the other 30 minutes are compensated. However, commute time caps at 1h total (30mins to and 30mins from district), so if total driving time is 3 hours, scouts will be compensated accordingly.
Vehicle / Transportation:
- We will provide reimbursement for mileage on your personal vehicle per the IRS mark. When using your personal vehicle, please take a picture of the odometer at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day for accurate reimbursement.
- As soon as available, we will provide you with a company car. This is to be used solely for scouting purposes.
- Fuel will be reimbursed. Please keep the receipts and upload them to the online form which will be given to you.

- Valid US Drivers License
- Ability to drive long distances and hours safely and efficiently
- Have a personal laptop for remote meetings, training, and Tax Lien Auctions
Pay:
- $26/hour or around $54,000 per year
